DAY 1: Arrival Day - Venice
Benvenuti in Italia! Welcome to Italy! A private water taxi will take you from Venice airport to your Hotel. Today will be completely at your leisure so that you can relax after you long journey. We will provide plenty of suggestions on how to spend it and where to eat.

Note
Venice is built on the water and some hotels do not have a dock for water taxi landing. It is likely that the water taxi will leave you 150 meters from the hotel entrance, then it will be easy and flat to walk to the hotel. If needed, we can arrange on request a porter service from the taxi dock to the hotel.
DAY 2: VENICE GUIDED WALK AND CICCHETTI EXPERIENCE
Venice is like a dream where little alleys and canals form a fascinating maze in the lagoon and the elegance of centuries-old palaces is mirrored in the water. Today, you will see that in Venice, the aroma of good food and wine, together with the sound of laughter from the bacari (local inns), create a multi-sensory experience you’ll never forget. During a fun and interesting tour a local guide will introduce you the history of Venice as well as to cicchetti, the typical Venice finger-food and some Venice typical drinks. You’ll explore picturesque and hidden alleyways and eat in the bacari where the locals go. The rest of the day will be at your leisure. We’ll give you plenty of information on what to do.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO CINQUE TERRE AREA (LA SPEZIA or LEVANTO)
In the morning you will hop on a train to reach the Cinque Terre area. From Venice you will board a high-speed train to Florence and from here a connection regional train to La Spezia. High-speed trains are an Italian wonder, they are comfortable, smooth and they can travel up to 300 km/h (approximately 170 miles/h). You will arrive in the early afternoon and the rest of the day will be at your leisure. We’ll give you plenty of suggestion on what to do, like a visit to the village of Portovenere.

DAY 4: CINQUE TERRE
Today you will explore an incredible wonder: five fishing villages suspended between sea and mountain, surrounded by vertical vineyards, olives trees and colorful houses built one on the top of the other. The Cinque Terre region was named an Unesco World Heritage site for its beauty. It’s also only accessible by foot or by train! So wear comfortable shoes and join your guide for an amazing walk along the stunning paths that link these historic villages, where nature and man worked together to create a scene of unmatched beauty. If you don’t feel comfortable walking, don’t worry: the railway links each of these villages and in less than 5-minutes you can go from one village to the next. There are several trains per hour and with the instruction you will find on our booklet it will be easy to explore Cinque Terre at your leisure.

Important note for Day 4
The Cinque Terre paths are narrow mountain trails steep in several parts. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes with non-slip soles. Hiking boots are recommended, but a good pair of runners will be fine too. Due to damage caused to the structures of the trails during the flood of 2011, in case of bad weather the local authority can decide to close the access to the trails.
DAY 5: FLORENCE GUIDED WALK (INCLUDING MICHELAGELO'S DAVID)
Today is the time to explore the Renaissance of Florence and to admire the magnificent Michelangelo’s David, a statue which will leave you breathless. In the morning you will hop on a train to Pisa where you will take a connection to Florence. After the check-in and some time at you leisure for lunch, you will join a small group walking tour [lasting approximately 3 hours] where an expert and licensed guide will show you the most interesting sites of Florence and will take you inside the Accademia Gallery, where you will see the Michelangelo’s David.The evening will be at your leisure.
A stopover in Pisa for visiting the leaning tower is not expected. Should you like to stop in Pisa it will be possible to take an earlier train and postpone the Florence tour during your free day in Florence.

DAY 6: CHIANTI&WINE EXPERIENCE (night in Florence)
Today you will explore the wonderful Tuscany countryside. Here, the hills and the vineyards form an impressive landscape where colors blends with shapes in beautiful harmony. In the morning you will join a small group of travelers and escorted by an expert food and wine tour leader you will board a comfortable air-conditioned minibus, to start exploring the Chianti area, one of the most impressive countryside area of Italy. During the day you will visit two local wineries, taste great wines and enjoy a typical Tuscan lunch. You’ll be back to Florence in the afternoon.

DAY 7: FLORENCE DAY AT YOUR LEISURE
Enjoy a full free day in Florence. We’ll give you plenty of suggestion on what to do. You can relax walking through the picturesque alleyways of this incredible town, visit Boboli’s gardens, climb the Brunelleschi dome or the Giotto bell tower, shop in the famous Florence leather markets or visit the famous Florence museums, like Uffizi Gallery or Accademia Gallery (where you can see the original Michelangelo’s David). Should you like we can also arrange some unique experiences like cooking classes, food walk or artisan workshop guided walk.

DAY 8: ROME GUIDED WALK
In the morning you will hop on a high-speed train and travel at 300 km/h to reach Rome.
Rome is the eternal city, birthplace of the glorious Roman empire and of the Italian dolce vita. After the check-in and some time at your leisure you will join a small group of travelers and an expert guide for a fascinating walk showing you the highlights and some hidden gems of Rome. You will see the Trevi fountain, the Spanish steps, Navona square and much more. Should you prefer we can arrange a private guided walk for you.

DAY 9: COLOSSEUM, VATICAN MUSEUM AND SISITINE CHAPEL
Rome is the heart of the ancient Roman Empire, the cradle of a rich history and the city where the glorious art of Michelangelo’s and Raffaello will conquer you. Today you will join a small group (18 people maximum) for exploring all the main treasures of Rome: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and the Colosseum. An expert guide will take you discovering all this marvel. You will start a morning visit to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. After some time at your leisure for lunch, you will then go to the Vatican Museums where a together with your guide and your small group you will visit a very rich museum and the stunning Sistine chapel.
Each visit will last approximately 3 hours.
In case you prefer a private guided tour of Colosseum and the Vatican, we’ll be glad to arrange it and one of our guides will look after you.
