DAY 1: Arrival Day - Rome

Benvenuti in Italia! Welcome to Italy! A private car with professional driver will take you from Rome airport to your hotel centrally located. Today it will be completely at your leisure, so you can relax after your long trip.

DAY 2: COLOSSEUM, VATICAN MUSEUM AND SISITINE CHAPEL

Rome is the heart of the ancient Roman Empire, the cradle of a rich history and the city where the glorious art of Michelangelo’s and Raffaello will conquer you. Today you will join a small group (18 people maximum) for exploring all the main treasures of Rome: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and the Colosseum. An expert guide will take you discovering all this marvel. You will start a morning visit to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. After some time at your leisure for lunch, you will then go to the Vatican Museums where a together with your guide and your small group you will visit a very rich museum and the stunning Sistine chapel.
Each visit will last approximately 3 hours.
In case you prefer a private guided tour of Colosseum and the Vatican, we’ll be glad to arrange it and one of our guides will look after you.

Should you prefer we can arrange cooking classes or street-food guided walk instead of museums’ visit.
Note 2
Depending on the availability, the tours’ order might be swapped (Vatican in the morning and Colosseum in the afternoon).

What’s not included
– Transfer from your accommodation to meeting point with your guide in the morning (we’ll provide plenty of information on how to reach the meeting point and your receptionist can call a cab for you).
– Transfer from the Colosseum where the first tour will finish to the Vatican where the second tour will start (we suggest taking a cab)

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO THE AMALFI COAST (possible optional visit to Pomepii ruins)

In the morning you will hop on a high-speed train to Naples and from here a private driver will take you to Amalfi. After the check-in you will have time at your leisure and we’ll give plenty of suggestion on what to do.
Relax by the sea, visit the hilltop village of Ravello or Positano, walk through the picturesque Amalfi alleyways or take an excursion to the Emerald grotto. Should you like we can also arrange some exclusive activities like wine tasting, cooking classes, guided walk of the Path of Gods and much more.
Note. Should you like we’ll be happy to arrange a private guided tour to the ruins of Pompeii, the ancient roman town destroyed by a Volcano eruption.

DAY 4: THE AMALFI COAST AND CAPRI ISLAND

This morning you’ll head to the Island of Capri, traveling the section of sea where the mythological hero Ulysses heard the mermaids singing. You will board a motor boat with a small group (15 people maximum) and after circling the island, you will dock at Marina Grande. You will have some free time to explore the exclusive Capri Island on foot. You might walk the colorful alleyways to the heart of the island and the spectacular Natural Arch, or take a cab (a convertible, no less!) to Anacapri, higher up on the island. The boat will pick you up in the afternoon to head back to The Amalfi Coast. During the day the boat will drop anchor in several spots to give you the opportunity to swim in the sparkling blue Mediterranean sea.
Note
In case of bad weather (either strong wind, rain or rough sea), this activity will be traded with an indoor one of the equal value and fun.

– Full day boat trip from The Amalfi Coast to Capri island, including the boat tour around the island [small group max 15 people] and 3-4 hours free time on the island.

What’s not included
– Blue Grotto entrance (you will have the chance to visit the blue grotto, but the entrance to this grotto is to pay separately, on site and it cannot be reserved in advance. The get into the Blue Grotto you will board a small rowing boat with the conductor and your motor boat we’ll wait for you. The entrance to the Blue Grotto is 14 euros per person).
– Optional transports on Capri Island (bus tickets, funicular tickets, taxi fees)

DAY 5: TRANSFER TO MATERA AND MATERA PRIVATE GUIDED WALK

Matera is a secret gem that only few travelers to Italy have the chance to see. During the centuries, churches, dwellings, gardens and terraces were built one on the top of the other, digging into the rock of the local canyon walls and seeming to challenge gravity! This area – the Sassi of Matera – was named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1993. In the morning your driver will meet you in Amalfi to take you to Matera. You will arrive in Matera approximate at lunch time and, after the check-in and some time at your leisure, a professional and local guide will lead you on a private guided journey to discover this magical place, revealing its secrets and showing you where famous directors filmed their movies.
At night you’ll sleep in one of the Sassi’s hotels. These hotels are a real wonder! From the windows, it feels like being part of nativity scene, and – inside – a high-quality and comfortable hotel room dig out from a grotto and right in the town’s historical centre.

DAY 6: MATERA AND CAVE CHURCHES

Cave churches or Rupestrian churches are a wonder difficult to describe. Imagine churches dig into the stark rock, but with elegant frescoes and arches. Today our local and expert guide will take you on a journey through the time to discover this magnificent part of Matera. You will walk an easy path along the gravina (kind of canyon) to find this old unique architectures. The activities will last a couple of hours during the morning and the afternoon will be at your leisure.

DAY 7: ALBEROBELLO AND POLIGNANO A MARE

Today, after a nice breakfast, your driver will take you from Matera to the incredible Alberobello. This is an an ancient village with narrow alleyways and the most picturesque buildings – white huts with conical roofs. You will have approx. 3 hours at your leisure for exploring this small, but unique and very fascinating village. In the early afternoon, your driver will pick you up to take you to a real Italian wonder: Polignano a Mare. This picturesque village is made of white houses perched on a cliff and the sea is simply beautiful. The rest of the day will be at your leisure.

DAY 8: TRANSFER TO BARI AND PRIVATE GUIDED WALK

In the morning, a private car with professional driver will take you from Polignano a Mare to Bari. In the afternoon a local guide will meet you at your hotel from where you will start a fascinating guided walk of Bari vecchia, the lively center of this town. You will walk through alleyways, visit two magnificent cathedrals and reach Arco Basso, where the nonnas still make orecchiette – typical pasta – from scratch.
