Meet Andrea – Co-Founder and Local Leader
Andrea is passionate about great conversation and travel. He set out on his first trip at 20-years-old and hasn’t stopped since! He’s been to five continents and taken every type of transportation imaginable, including: planes, trains, camels, sailboats, rickshaws and more! A former engineer, his organizational skills and attention to detail are bar-none.
Today, he adores his work as a professional traveller who enjoys seeing the country he loves through the fresh eyes of his guests. He’s pleased to put his many years’ experience as a local leader for a variety of international tour operators to work for LocalWonders Travel.
He prides himself on planning high-quality, comfortable, authentic, professional and fun trips for guests from every corner of the globe. He is proud that those trips respect and support local communities.
Meet Ismael – Co-Founder and Local Leader
Ismael is a travel lover with an addiction to gourmet food. When he’s not travelling, he’s cooking divine dinners for his friends, including his famous pumpkin risotto. Similarly, when he is travelling, he makes sure to include opportunities for discovering the very finest local cuisines. After a career as an engineer for a multinational company, he decided to turn his passion for travel into a profession by dedicating himself fully to designing authentic travel experiences for visitors to his beloved country!
He has a keen eye for details and a focus on quality (both of which his tour guests appreciate!) and takes “recommending a restaurant” very seriously.
He says that, “Italy never stops to amaze me for the spectacular food, the warmth of the people and the many hidden wonders that I discover travelling in my country. I believe the best way to discover the world is with a local point of view, with such philosophy I commit to delivering the best possible experience to our guests”. When Ismael isn’t travelling or cooking, he is dreaming of winning a tennis match against Roger Federer.
