Today you will join a small group of travellers for a half day expedition to the Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. A volcano guide will pick you up and, in a 4WD, you will make your way to the biggest volcano in Europe. You will cross lava fields, centuries-old forests and take an easy walk along some impressive craters. You will be back to your hotel in the early afternoon and you will have time at your leisure to explore Catania, go shopping or perhaps for some relax.

In the morning, a private car with driver pick you up at your accommodation in Catania and take you to Taormina. Here you will have time at your leisure for walking the elegant street of this town, visiting the scenic Greek-Roman theatre or eating a typical Sicilian granita with brioche. We’ll provide plenty of suggestion on what to do. In the afternoon, your driver will take you to Syracuse. This is a beautiful coastal town with the historical town center based on the Ortigia island. After the check-in – your hotel will be on the central Ortigia – the rest of the day will be at your leisure.

You will admire an impressive baroque centre, see a cathedral built around an old Greek temple and a spring where papyrus grows naturally. The morning will be at your leisure and you can visit the Neapolis archaeological park – where you can find the oldest and biggest Greek theatre in Sicily – visit the Archimedes Technological Park, watch a puppet show at the pupi theatre or a swim in the Mediterranean sea. We’ll provide plenty of information on what to do.
